Week 7- Cavs

This week in our reading was talked about how social media has so much power. In today’s world, it seems to me that almost everyone has some sort of social media. Social media is a free outlet on the internet and has the ability to promote products, a person, a team, yourself, etc., the list is endless. An easy example you could use of someone promoting themselves would be a sports teams. For example, I follow the Cleveland Cavaliers on Instagram and they post all the time every day. During games, they post highlights from the game, photos, scoring updates, half time performances, cheerleaders, mascots, even fans are shown. On non-game days, the will show interviews and footage from practices. They will also use it is a promotional tool if they are doing some sort of fundraising event or honoring someone. This is an easy way to have the fans feel connected with the team as best as possible letting them know everything each step of the way.
